Hello! It's been awhile but I'm finally back with a new song cover!! It's my first time collaborating with my dearest Charmaine and I was so excited because it's also my first time using my new mic which is really awesome :D I haven't watch Fifty Shades Of Grey but I'm really loving the song "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding! Found an instrumental piano piece and decided to cover this song :) It's also Charmaine's first cover so please do shower some love and support! Hehe thank you!! :)

Hellooo! So if you're friends with me on Facebook or Instagram, you'd notice certain mentions of Europe... and that's because it's happening really soon during end of April next month!! OMG :D I've been doing soo much research for the past few days mainly for accommodation and transportation first. Itinerary will be secondary as it will be the most time consuming but most fun part too! 

Let me share with you the origins of the tickets first. Few months back, there was a international competition held by Lufthansa Airlines in conjunction with the launch of their Premium Economy Seats. Everyone can take part and all they need to do is to post a photo on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook and share what #premiumtime means to them and 3 winners will win a pair of flight tickets each, where they can travel to any country of their choice! So my brother took part in it and is extremely fortunate to be one of the 3 winners!! HOW AMAZING RIGHT?! And I'm so happy that I'd be tagging along for this upcoming trip! :D

I plan to *fingers cross* keep up with the updates of my entire Europe trip where I'd be covering Paris, Switzerland, Vienna, Prague and Frankfurt! Dream Staycation @ W Hotel

Holidays... Staycations... Pretty words that immediately put a smile on your face, get you excited and aim to work even harder for that very day where you'll be instagraming your boarding pass or taking an airport #ootd while waiting for your flight's departure haha :D Doesn't that sound soo pleasing to the ears?? Let's all now take a moment and dream a little~~ ;) On a side note, I'm currently planning for my Europe trip that's happening next month which I'm so so excited about!! 

Back to this post, I was actually browsing through my photo albums and knew that I had to share one of the best staycation I had with my family at W Hotel @ Sentosa Cove during June last year! One of my life goals is to strike a certain work-life balance. I mean it's important to know when to reward yourself for your hard work so hopefully this post will get you pumped up for your next staycation or holiday! ;)

Ps: The reason why this post is soo overdue is also because my blog still wasn't up that time~ But well, some memories are just unforgettable and this staycation is definitely one of them! Enjoy ;)

Although it was only a 2d1n stay, I was really happy to see my mum enjoying herself so much! Truth be told, she hasn't taken a plane before (unknown fears) and doesn't plan to as well in the future. Seeing her not being able to experience the beauty outside of Singapore, my brother and I thought it'd be a great idea to have a staycation instead of an overseas holiday~ Well, it was all worth it :) Thank you W Hotel for the wonderful experience! Now that's also a gentle reminder to myself to work harder for 2015 and start planning for the next holiday with my family! What about you? :)

It's sort of my first "techie tutorial" haha, and the main reason why I did this video was because it's a real problem that I was facing just a couple of weeks back! So when I finally figured out how to do it (in a less complicated way), I think it'd be great to share what I know and hopefully someone out there would find it useful! :)

MY NEW NAME & IDENTITY!

Hello everyone! Yesterday marks an important day after I left ICA building... I've officially changed my name and gotten my new IC and Passport! :D I actually got this new name since mid of last year but didn't get the necessary legal documents done until last month~ Of course, it doesn't mean that life will immediately change for the better as this all requires time and also largely depends on our own doings~ :) I shan't go into the details of what the Master shared about my old name but I'm definitely ready to embark on a new journey with my new name! 

My old name: Goh Shu Ping Shirley 吴淑萍

My new name: Goh Shi Ying Shirley 吴詩縈 (Shī Yíng)

Getting your name changed is a big thing, so do consider properly before you proceed with anything yup! Well if you're thinking of getting a new name in the future, here's what you will need and the costs involved!

1) Change of Name by Master (amount varies depending on what the Master charges)

2) Deed Poll - $70 

- It's a compulsory document you need to sign before a solicitor, required by ICA as part of the name change procedure.

- This is the law firm that I engaged, also possibly one of the cheapest I've known!

3) Change of IC - $60

- Done at ICA http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=139

4) Change of Passport - $70

- Done at ICA http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=125

The entire procedure took about 3 weeks for me~ Just take note, once you've received the pink slip to collect your passport, don't delay and hurry book the appointment because the slots are filled up pretty fast! To save traveling time, book the appointment for both IC and Passport collection on the same day! Alternatively, you can also check out ICA's website for an online/SingPost procedure to apply and get all of these done without going to ICA building itself! Alright that's about it!
