Picnic Date @ Botanic Gardens!

Hellooo there!! I'm feeling very excited and happy right now to be able to take some time out to blog today!! I'm sure we've all went to Botanic Gardens before but yesterday was honestly the first time I really combed the gardens! I didn't know there are so many different themed gardens inside and my mum really wanted to check out the National Orchid Garden! So I decided to go on a picnic date with mummy and just wanna share with you all some incredibly beautiful flowers and scenery that I managed to capture yesterday! PS: SG50 free admission into Orchid Garden for Singaporeans until 31st August!
Inscribed by UNESCO as a cultural site on the World Heritage List in July 2015! So proud of Singapore!
Loving this pair of sunnies i got during my Europe trip!
Picnic time! just some sandwiches, snacks and tea; nothing too fancy as it's the quality time spent with mummy that counts :)

More than 100 years of cultivating orchid and 20 years of orchid splendour~
I'm so in love with this shot!
Garden right outside Burkill Hall. My mum literally went "wahhhh~~" haha!
Another favourite shot of mine!
My first time visiting the VIP Orchid Garden!
~ Vanda William Catherine ~
This orchid is named after His and Her Royal Highness, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the occasion of their visit to the National Orchid Garden on 11 September 2012.

My favourite color <3
Loving the combination of red and orange on these flowers!
< Cool House >
A selection of plants native to the mountains of South-East Asia is grown in the Coolhouse. The plants are arranged to simulate the vegetation of a tropical mountain forest!
< Celebrity Garden >
These white orchids named after Stefanie Sun (Sun Yan Zi) are so beautiful!
Had to take a shot of this pretty window display of the Gardens Shop :)

There are still some more gardens and rainforest sections that we didn't manage to comb because my legs were really tired towards the end lol! But I'd say it's pretty nice to spend a day walking around and enjoying the beauty of nature :) My mum has green fingers so the whole Botanic Gardens to her is like heaven on earth hahaha.

The funniest part of yesterday is hearing my mum say how nice if she can work at Botanic Gardens - job scope is watering the plants LOL! She say she can seriously water them all day all night, the flowers and plants shiok she also shiok hahaha! Alright, shall end the post here first~ Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading! x

With love,
Shirley

Please help Mr Tan, a technician who lost all 4 limbs due to food poisoning.

I'm sure by now, most of you have heard about Mr Tan, who had recently lost all 4 of his limbs - both hands and both feet due to food poisoning. If you haven't heard about it, please read all about it via the links that I've shared below especially the full details on the fundraiser. Both Straits Times (article link) and Channels News Asia (article link) have also published an article on this unfortunate incident but I'm really glad to know that around SGD$50,000 has been raised within a day to help Mr Tan and his family tide over this rough period. Although the Fundraiser organized by Dorothy Lim via indiegogo has ended, you can still donate directly to Mr Tan Whee Boon's bank account at POSB Savings 139020600

Each of your contribution, regardless the amount, will go a very long way for Mr Tan and his family.

Please help to spread the word & make a small contribution within your means! Thank you!
