I Can't Stop Watching Youtubers!

If Facebook is most of our first (social) home, then YouTube's definitely my second home to be! It's kind of amazing to see how social media has evolved and improved so much over the years, and now becoming a daily dose of "something" that everyone takes. For me, it's definitely a daily dose of entertainment and inspiration!

Over the years, I'm really glad to have picked up and learnt so much from all the things that different Youtubers have taught and inspired me. Beauty gurus taught me how to properly put on makeup; fashion gurus showed me so many ideas to dress up for different occasions; foodtubers taught me how to make really delicious desserts and smoothies(which I'm also actively making lately); film makers made me cry yet also gave me hope in love and life... The list just goes on and on as there's just simply countless things what the YouTube community has given me, and I'm pretty sure that goes the same to a lot of people out there! So here's 5 of my favourite female youtubers whom I would like to share! I've included a link to their channels and also one of their videos below! Enjoyyy! :D

I followed Jenn Im few years back, didn't catch up with her videos for a period of time but right now, she is definitely one of the Youtubers I follow very closely! So pretty, fashionable and what I love most is that no matter what others say about her style, she'll still dress up in whatever that makes her feel good! I like that attitude very much! #toomuchjudging #justdowhatmakesyouhappy ;)

Aww, I can't express how much Heart (yes, that's her name) has inspired me in so many ways, and all that laughter she and her boyfriend Arnold have brought to me & my friends with their videos! Beauty, fashion and her laughter when she's with Arnold are what I love most! You should really check them out! I always can't stop smiling and laughing at how cute they are together hehe :D

With over 7 million subscribers, I believe a lot of people out there like me have been following Michelle Phan for many years~~ From her starting off with doing makeup tutorials all the way till the opening of her own beauty cosmetics line EM, and now even releasing her own book! And usually with such success comes haters whom I'll never understand, but anyways she'll still be an inspiration to a lot of people out there as her success and hardwork definitely came a long way :)

If I got your attention when I mentioned smoothies just now, then yes her channel is definitely one that you got to check out! I only recently followed her while I was searching for some smoothie recipes and honestly, I totally got hooked to her accent lol! I believe the way she delivers everything just make people very excited to get their cooking engine started (like me) haha!

Although Zoella started youtubing for I think 6 years, I only recently followed her after Heart mentioned her in one of her videos. She also recently launched her own Zoella beauty line and omg the launch party was stunningly decorated with everything pretty that you can imagine! There's just almost nothing not to like with that pretty face and British accent haha.

So that's about it for now! Most likely, I'm gonna do another post that features my favourite film makers and male youtubers! If you enjoyed watching these youtubers, be sure to subscribe to them! Till later!

A "fall" to remember :/

October is coming to an end and it has been a pretty busy month (in terms of work) for me! So far, the work environment has been good and there's definitely much more to learn and adapt along the way~ Unfortunately, I had a bad fall last Tuesday on the way to work, which also happens to be the day that I'm having my very first big client meeting. Sigh, I totally saw that fall as a test to see how strong my mentality is especially on such an important day.. And of course, I picked myself up and went to the meeting with a bleeding knee...
I'm someone who has very low tolerance of pain.. So yup, it was very hard for me to control my tears at the clinic :( For now, my knee is healing and getting much better~ But I would have to warn anyone who's going to put dressing on their injury because seriously, it was extremely hard for me to remove the dressing!! I can't remember when was the last time I cried so so badly for close to 2 hours just to undress it because no matter how much I wet them, the pus was just completely stuck to the gauze and cotton wools underneath... I know the dressing is to prevent bacteria from entering or whatsoever but the pain was just kinda unbearable :'(

WARNING: PHOTOS BELOW NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED.
*scroll away if you need to*
Times like this really reminded me not to take normality for granted. Our everyday activities like eating, drinking, walking, showering may seem so normal because it is indeed... normal. But actually, we may not realize these wonderful things that we are able to do everyday until something happens. Through this fall, I really understood how precious it is to be able to walk normally without limping or anything. Really got to take better care of myself from now on!
Well, I'm not gonna end this post with that gory photo so here's one of my ootd for work!
I have plans to do ceramic braces sooon, like hopefully next month! So if there's any good dental clinic with reasonably good prices as well, please be nice to share the info with me! I would appreciate it a lot, and thank you in advance! :)

Cafe-hop: The Book Cafe

I'm not someone who always uses the term "Monday blues", not that my Monday's always great but because I think it's in fact, a great thing to be able to start a new week! I just like that feeling of starting afresh; to move on from whatever that had happened for the past week and create new stories or memories for the brand new week ahead! But if you're one who dreads Monday, then I'm here to tell you that there shall be no Monday blues just by planning ahead for your weekends! :D So a couple weeks back, Joy and I had a simple Saturday hangout at The Book Cafe~ It was my first time there, and I really love the comfortable and intimate setting of the cafe.
It's a good thing they have free wifi, which the staff was very nice to even initiate the connection for me!
Totally my kind of Saturday
We then managed to move to the sofa seats which was much more comfortable~ to take selfies LOL :p
Erm... I don't know what were we trying to do actually~
Nonetheless #fail hahaha~

A toast to new beginnings :)

Hello! It's already midweek of October and I hope everyone's doing fine! I think celebrations are essential to mark different milestones in our lives, and it's pretty amazing to see how much these 2 girlfriends and I have grown and achieve ever since we graduated! So of course, we had to arrange a dinner date at Alfresco Gusto @ ION to celebrate Clare's recent promotion, Aud's interesting love life and my new career switch! :D
Cheeers!! :D
Blur photo but happy us!

With my new job, I'm still gonna do my best to keep my blog active! I also have some exciting upcoming plans for new covers that I can't wait to do! Stay tuned! x

The Magic of Cavalia, A Dream of Freedom | Singapore

< Cavalia - A magical encounter between human and horse >

Last Tuesday, thanks to Love 972 FM, my brother and I got complimentary tickets to catch Cavalia at Bayfront which was one amazing show that I would personally recommend especially if you love horses! Unlike traditional circus where the stunt performers are the stars, Cavalia brings the spotlight to the 50 horses as they take the show to a whole new level.
This huge white tentage already got me excited even before entering!
This is part of the opening performance (we weren't supposed to take pictures but seriously, I think everyone got too excited and forgot about it, as I see alot of people around me snapping away too lol)
我的白马王子在哪里?
They were really fast~ (we were unable to take any more pictures as some of the audience got caught by the staff haha)
Selfie with my bro :)
One day, I'll find my 白马王子~
Candid ootd shot of Jeffrey~
As we walked out of the area, I caught this breathtaking view of the city skyline~ Very pretty right??
Overall, I'm quite fascinated by the interaction between the performers and horses as it clearly displays the strong fundamental relationship and intense bond that they have developed over time, leading to the creation of such a beautiful performance that is really beyond my imagination. And for that, I'm giving Cavalia a big thumbs up!! Thank you for the wonderful show :)

The Singapore show has already ended on 5th Oct, so for those who have missed it, I shall share with you a short clip I found on Youtube! The stage settings is not entirely the same but you'll still get the gist of the show! Enjoyyy :)

Restaurant-hop: Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ

Since growing up from primary all the way till university, there are bound to be friends whom we will grow closer, while the rest apart. Although it's not easy to gather a group of friends together all the time, I'm actually very thankful and glad that my poly girlfriends are always making effort to organize monthly gatherings to catch up with one another. For September, as the girls agreed to have korean food, Charmaine suggested dining at Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ! It was my first time there and to be honest, I'm not a big fan of BBQ but I actually do quite enjoy the meal that day! Well, also because Char & Mel was feeding me with soo much love, so it tasted even better haha :D
 ❥ 8ight (missing Yina & Est!)

Our average spending was around $25-30, which is kind of the usual BBQ price range. If you're looking for more comfortable seatings and environment, you can give this a try! But do remember to call in for reservations as they can get pretty packed especially during the weekends! We didn't take much photos that day, but definitely had a great chat as we started planning for Shux's gatecrashing/wedding in Nov! Omg it's in fact less than a month! Soo excited, can't wait~ :D

Saturday 4 October 2014

Hello October :)

Ahh, can't believe September has ended! Felt like I just had my Taiwan trip only (which was in Aug actually) and just like that, another month of my break is over~ Aww. Looking back at my calendar, after all the good food hunting and catching up with different friends in July & Aug, Sept was more of a "toned down" month for me because like ya know, it can't last when my "output" is more than my "input" (financially) hahaha~
So hello October, I welcome you as I embark on a new journey in my career path! Have officially started work doing event sales and so far so good, still adapting and looking forward to my breakthroughs along the way! I'm very thankful for what I've learnt from my previous job that shaped me into who I am today. Becoming an individual who is now much more confident (coming from someone with a very low self esteem, I'd say that's a pretty big deal for me), I do hope to be able to bring that confidence with me anywhere and everywhere I go in the future!
