Kelvin's Birthday @ Kilo Restaurant

This post is definitely a late one but better late than never! Celebrated Kelvin's birthday that friday before I fly to Taiwan, and this time round we went to Kilo Restaurant located by the Kallang River! We drove there as the place is located in a quite remote area so definitely it would be most accessible by car, but of course you can googlemap how to get there by public transport if you want! As I was going through my photos, I realized we ordered quite a fair bit haha nonetheless, food was great but even better with good company! :D Enjoy the photos from starters to main dishes!

I guess sometimes in this fast-paced world that we are living in, we tend to miss out on the things that's happening around us. So in my latest video linked below (in which this time round, I decided to do something that is non-songcover related), I went to a place I really love (in Singapore) to remind myself and anyone out there to take some time out for yourself, have a "blue sky" time, daydream a little (anyways, it's free afterall), 'people-watch' if you like to get a feel for the beauty and rhythm of the community around us, do what you enjoy (or even do nothing at all), and know that it's perfectly fine to slow down once in awhile.

And yes, I'm back from my 10 days Taiwan trip with my brother! I had a pretty good time and it was also a good bonding time with my brother~ Apart from taking pictures, I've also been filming during my trip! So I'd be splitting the videos into a few parts if not it's gonna be too much to compile in just one video, and maybe a Taiwan Haul/August Favourites?? Haha stay tuned if you're interested to find out more especially if you're planning to head to Taiwan sometime later!

My Bestie's Hens Night

Helloo! Right now as you're reading this, I'm actually at Taiwan already!! Haha. Well, this would be a long due post (and also because back then in May I didn't have my blog up yet) but definitely a must to blog about! So as you can see from the title, it's my dear Shuxian's hens night back in May! We headed to Shuffle Bistro Bar @ Clarke Quay, played some games, (she) did some crazy stuffs, and then headed to Fashion Club for Round 2 *ding ding ding* Hahaha. The pictures will do the talking!

Actually this song has been around for quite a while, but because i've been hearing it pretty often over the radio lately, I just really loveee the song so much that I wanted to do a cover on it! So yup, here is Lady Antebellum's "Just A Kiss", hope you guys like it :) 

Well, this song does have some sentimental meaning for me... Whenever I listen to the lyrics, I just get flashbacks of the recent past; unwanted past that is absolutely not worth recalling... *shakes head* -- MOVE ON.

WHAT'S ON MY PLAYLIST RIGHT NOW?

As I'm typing these words right now, I'm literally "bouncing" with my earpiece on.. hahaha! Try to imagine that... So what am I actually listening to?? I can't even believe it myself... I shall screenshot my playlist for you guys to see instead!

If you are my friend, you would know that I'm a Phuture kinda person compared to Zouk.. like, I seriously don't know how to appreciate Zouk's songs... maybe because I can't sing along with it if you compare to those R&B or Pop songs that we always hear?? Hahaha. Recently, I remembered pasting Audrey a song of similar genre and she went like "Since when you listen to this kind of songs??" ...Right, that's the point. Since when?? I've no idea when my music taste started shifting as well but right now, I'm just totally digging this album! 

So I went the mini extra mile to find the song for you guys! *put your hands up with me!!* LOL.

Quote what two of my friends said: "Welcome to my world." & "Welcome to the scene." HAHA. Thank you thank you. I guess it's never too late ;)

By the way, if you haven't download Amped, you should!! Most people may have heard of Spotify more instead, well both apps are very similar... Nonetheless, I'm on Amped right now and the app itself is pretty awesome if you are a music lover like me! ;)

Cafe-hop: Common Man Coffee Roasters

Here comes the weekend! And today is another cafe post that I visited last month for a Sunday brunch at Rochester! The place was pretty packed when we arrived at 11am plus, but the wait wasn't too long before they got us both seats at the counter which I kinda like it!

It was a date with dear Clare~ (so pretty!)

One of the best hot choc that I've tried! 

Organic Eggs Benedict (two poached eggs on top of tender braised ox cheeks and lightly toasted artisanal sourdough toast)

Clare's shades are mad gorgeous! 

Then as we strolled along the riverwalk, we were also happily snapping away~ ;)

Cafe-hop: Jones The Grocer

Well, I believe a lot of you guys have already been to JTG itself, but I got myself a delightful treat as I stumbled across the biggest macarons that I've ever seen (at least for now) which was the best surprise I could get as I had a major craving for macarons that day hahaha! Yes, I loveee macarons and if you're a lover of those sweet meringue-based cookies, then I recommend you to try out the ones at JTG! Shall let the pictures do the talking ;)

How can you resist from entering when you see this pretty section at the entrance? (but they are kinda pricey though.. lol)

I went on a Sunday and it's actually quite a nice place to chill out with your friends or even bring along your iPad/laptop to do your work!

Finally, the lovely macarons! They come in boxes like this at the refrigerator where you can pick it up yourself :)

In order: Rose & Lychee ❥ Champagne & Apricot ❥ Citrus & Rosemary ❥ Pistachio ❥ Salted Caramel 

You probably can't see how "big" it really is from the picture but trust me, they are definitely bigger than the ones you usually see outside ;) And the best thing is, it's only $12.80 per box ($2.56/pc to be exact lol) which is around the same price as other bakeries out there but even more worth it! ;)

There's just this relaxing vibe about this place that I really love and definitely the place to be for your Sundays! Shall end this post here, and go back to my editing as I've another song cover up by this week.. maybe Wed/Thurs? It's 爱你 by Kimberly Chen! Stay tuned!
